SUSTAINABILITY

At FiestoRON, we not only celebrate music, art and culture; We are also committed to sustainability and reducing environmental impact. We are the first Festival to obtain the CCVC2030, certified by OCA GLOBAL, reflecting our firm commitment to climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals and the Canarian Agenda 2030.

SUSTAINABLE ACTIONS IN OUR ENVIRONMENT

At FiestoRon, we believe that sustainability is more than an option; It is our commitment. We want festivals to be places of celebration and, at the same time, of care for the planet. Our goal is to raise awareness among our audience about the importance of sustainability, promoting responsible practices during the festival and in daily life. Together, we can make a significant difference.

Many of our attendees travel from different parts of the island to our venue in the Historic Center of Arucas. To facilitate this and reduce the use of private vehicles, we have established an agreement with Guagua Global to increase the number of services and create new routes. We also promote offers from private bus companies for groups, thus encouraging the use of collective transportation. In addition, we have set up temporary parking areas just 500 meters from the venue for those who need to arrive by car. These measures help reduce the use of private cars, avoid traffic jams and considerably reduce CO2 emissions.

We support the local economy through commercial strategies with local and local suppliers to supply all areas of the festival. This includes electrical equipment, infrastructure, lighting and sound, catering and tourist accommodation, generating synergies and reducing the environmental impacts of transfers. In the field of restoration, we rely on Food Truck suppliers that work with local products from Km0, thus highlighting local and island gastronomy.

WE REDUCE OUR DIRECT IMPACT

We use the pre-existing infrastructure of the venue to reduce the use of generators that use fossil fuels, connecting to the local electrical grid whenever possible. We take advantage of natural light during the assembly and disassembly of the festival and use renewable energy in different areas of the venue, such as the backstage area, which runs on solar panels. In addition, we select efficient equipment and installations that meet low emission standards, such as electric generators that must comply with STAGE V regulations.

Our waste management is comprehensive and proactive. We have a collaboration agreement with the city council for the placement of recycling bins, and we carry out educational and awareness campaigns on waste separation and recycling. We promote the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials, minimizing waste generation from logistics planning to material recovery. Each edition we publish and communicate the selective collection points on the premises to keep it clean and reduce the environmental impact.

Purchasing management at FiestoRon focuses on environmental sustainability. We size purchases according to needs to avoid surpluses and prioritize reusable products and recyclable materials. In addition, we establish environmental criteria in the selection of services to guarantee sustainable practices in all areas of the festival.

We want our attendees to be an active part of this change. We carry out educational and awareness campaigns about the importance of sustainability, both during the festival and in daily life.

We firmly believe that festivals can be spaces of celebration and care for the planet, and we are committed to a greener and more sustainable future. Sustainability is our rhythm, and together we can make a significant difference.

ECO-FRIENDLY ACTIONS

FiestoRon is committed to sustainability and the environment, carrying out actions to offset the Carbon Footprint and address the negative impacts of events of this nature. We carry out activities such as COAST CLEANUP and REFORESTATION, with the goal of not only preserving the environment, but also improving water quality, providing natural habitats for local fauna and contributing to the scenic beauty of the region. Community collaboration in these initiatives demonstrates their transformative power and long-term positive impact on reducing the Carbon Footprint.
